Swimming again...

Today I decide I needed to get back in the water, as we headed to Simpkin's pool, I was not looking forward to the cold gray sky hanging around above.  Don't get me wrong once I am in the pool I enjoy swimming, it getting in that I dislike so much. It was a bit crazy getting out of the house, but we made it and down the street, we went when I asked, did anyone grabs towels? So the bf wiped the car around and back home we went. Let's try this again. Gray sky's just not feeling it, as we approached the pool. I was busy checking into foursquare and didn't notice the half-empty parking lot. Chris asked a woman walking what was going on, she said the pool was closed because something or another was broke and would not be fixed for a few days. My first thought was yay we get to go to UCSC and swim! I love that pool it is just a bit warmer than Simpkins and so off we went. I came out of the locker room ready to swim, as I put my foot in the water, and just as I thought it was warm. My son had no reservation he jumped in and started swimming. I was still messing around with putting both feet in the water and fixing my ear plugs..(grrr) I need new ones, the ear plugs that were my favorite I lost and so I have to use the ones I really don't like they never stay in my ears. First part of the swim was hard, but seem to get a bit easier as it went on. Even with the gray sky's I still really enjoyed the swim partly because my son, and I was sharing a lane and every few laps he would ask if I wanted to race. He always make swimming fun...
